Driscoll is a regional referral center for South Texas with supporting practices in Laredo, McAllen, and Brownsville.

Through the vision and generosity of its founder, Clara Driscoll, Driscoll Childrens Hospital opened in 1953, becoming the first, and remains the only, free-standing childrens hospital in South Texas.
